Tie clips are a great piece of jewerly and are available in many different price ranges, from cheap to expensive and from small & subtle to large and eye-catching. They usually made of high quality metals like silver, gold or platinum and some have subtle decorative patterns to show an affiliation or a commemorative token.
Tie Pins
A "tie pin" pins tie directly into the shirt. Tie pins are usually smaller and more subtle than tie clips. Usually most people would prefer to wear tie clips above tie pins because the tie pins will cause small damage to both the tie and the shirt and tie pins often look cheaper than tie clips.
